Canskate Program (age 5+ years as of 01 October)
This is a learn to skate program which is an excellent starting point for the figure skating, hockey and ringette stars of tomorrow.
- This program is designed for skaters who are a minimum of 5 years of age as of 01 October this year, through to older children and teenagers.
- Program professionally developed and nationally tested learn to skate program that provides a solid foundation for all skating sports: hockey, ringette, figure and synchronized skating,speed skating, and of course - recreational skating.
- Skaters move through different stations which focus on the grouped skating skills of Go Forward, Go Backward, Stop,Turn, Spin and Jump.
- All instruction is provided by Skate Canada certified Professional coaches and their Coaching Assistants.
- Skaters are evaluated reularly and progress through the six stages at their own pace.
