Winter Lean to Skate programs begin September 14, 2011
Register in person at the Fergus Leisure Show on September 8th, 2011!
All instruction is provided by Skate Canada Certified professional coaches and their program assistants.
KIDSKATE Program
For skaters who have reached their 3rd birthday prior to beginning of the program. Our program introduces skaters to the ice using engaging and interactive lessons. Skaters work in small groups based on their skating ability and learn how to skate forward, backwards, turn, stop, spin and jump.
Wednesday 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm
Friday 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm
CANSKATE Program
This program is for skaters five years of age and older which provides a solid foundation for all skating activities. Skaters move through different stations which focus on the grouped skating skills of: Go Forward, Go Backward, Stop, Turn, Spin and Jump.
Wednesday 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm
Friday 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm
CANSKATE ADVANCED Program
This program is taken in addition to the regular CanSkate for skaters who have passed their 4th badge and are interested in working on advanced edges and skating skills. ( #’s permitting)
Wednesday 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Saturday 10:15 am –10:45 am
STARSKATE Program
This stream is designed for skaters who have passed the Skate Canada Can Skate badge 6 and wish to work on freeskate, skills and dance fundamentals of figure skating.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
ADULTSKATE Friday evening if ’s permit
CANPOWERSKATE 15 min during CanSkate session.
Please contact any board member or coach for additional details about signing up today.
For late registrations we will have a board member at all CanSkate sessions until Sept 25th 2011 to accept registrations in person. Please bring in your completed forms and payment during any CanSkate session during this period or completed registration forms can be mailed to PO Box 305, Fergus ON, N1M 3E2, or dropped off into the FSC drop box at the FSC's office at Pad B in the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.
